The Catholic school board has released its 2014-2015 Grade 9 math test results.
86 per cent of academic students scored the provincial standard or better
Director of Education at the St. Clair Catholic District School Board Dan Parr says only 43 per cent of students in applied math exceeded or met the provincial standard.
He says they continue to try and introduce new strategies to enable students in applied math to achieve at a higher level.
The public school boards were in a phase of work to rule at the time the testing was conducted and no results are available.
