Lambton County paramedics have a new contract agreement reached through arbitration.
80 full and 62 part-time employees are represented by the Service Employees International Union, Local 1.
County council ratified a four year deal in closed session in Wyoming today. (Wed)
GM of Corporate Services David Cribbs says the paramedics get salary increases of 2 per cent in each of the four years retroactive to April 1, 2014.
He says there are also improvements to optical care and paramedical coverage.

The salary increases are expected to cost the county over $750,000.
