Perry Leads Legionnaires Over Lincolns

Sarnia native Brock Perry dished out three assists and defenceman Brad Yowart potted a pair of goals as the Sarnia Legionnaires (8-7-1-1) beat the St. Marys Lincolns (2-12-1-2) 4-1 in GOJHL play Thursday.

For the 17-year-old Perry, they were his first "Jr. B" points and all came on the powerplay.

He says he's thrilled to get on the board.

Legionnaires Head Coach Mark Davis says the special teams were a big factor. Sarnia went 3-5 on the powerplay and killed off three of four St. Marys man advantages.

The Legionnaires outshot the Lincolns 49-30. Goalie Shayne Battler had his shutout broken with just 50 seconds remaining in the game.

Sarnia's Ryan Trottier got into a fight with Tristan Gallant in the second period, each were handed game misconducts.

Next up, the Sarnia Legionnaires travel to Lambton Shores Saturday night.
