Man Arrested For Assault, Robbery, Abduction

The Sarnia Police Criminal Investigations Branch has arrested a Sarnia man in connection with a robbery and assault Tuesday evening.

Police say the accused became upset with comments made by the male victim. It's alleged the victim was threatened with a knife, punched numerous times, and told he could not leave the residence.

Police say the accused then took the victim's money and forced him to come to various addresses in the city.

It's alleged victim's cellphone rang and the accused took the phone and threw it out the window of the moving car they were in.

Constable Les Jones says they located both parties at a residence in the 300-block of Mitton St. around 11:30pm and made an arrest.

Patrick Michael White Jr., 41,  has been charged with robbery, two counts of forcible confinement, abduction, mischief under $5,000, assault with a weapon, assault, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats to cause death, uttering threats to cause bodily harm and two counts of breach of probation.

The victim attended Bluewater Health where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.
