The Ontario Medical Association is holding a meeting in Pt. Edward Tuesday night to address strategies for negotiating with the provincial government. President of the Lambton Medical Society Dr. Kunwar Singh says the province wants to cut doctors' funding by up to 10 per cent. The province claims doctor earnings have gone up 29 per cent the last seven years but Singh says that's a skewed argument because it doesn't take office staffing and operating costs into account.
OMA regional representative Dr. Albert Ng will was to address local doctors at the Open Grill Steak House at 5pm. The association is pushing for a two-year wage freeze.
