Murder Charge Withdrawn in ATV Death

A first degree murder charge laid against a 41-year-old Sarnia man in the death of another city man, was withdrawn in Sarnia court Monday. Sarnia police confirm the murder charge against Marshall Jay Scott Maness was dropped by the Crown. A pathologist report ruled 42-year-old Raynold Fisher died as a result of an ATV crash. He was found with critical injuries August 5 on Vidal St. S. and died the next day. Maness remains charged with assault and is to appear again in court January 19.
