Hit and Run Driver Sought

Sarnia police are asking for the public's help in locating the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision early Tuesday morning in the city's north end. Police say a brown, 2005 two-door GMC Jimmy left westbound Rosedale Ave. near Laidlaw Pl. and struck a tree just after 6am. The male driver fled on foot, leaving behind a 20-year-old female passenger who was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The male is described as white, of slim build and was wearing blue jeans and a dark shirt. He may have sustained facial injuries in the collision and police are concerned about his well-being. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sarnia Police at 519-344-8861 extension “0” or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
