Alix Foundation Supports Local Projects

The Judith and Norman Alix Foundation has committed a total of $27,000 toward three Lambton county based capital projects.

The foundation's board has approved $10,000 toward the Sarnia Concert Association for refurbishment of its Yamaha Grand Piano.

$5,000 is going to Gallery in the Grove for lighting upgrades and enhancements, and $12,000 has been allocated to the Kenwick on the Lake Park Committee for solar powered lighting.

The Judith and Norman Alix Foundation will be accepting funding applications for this spring in February. Only capital projects located in Lambton county will be considered.

Over 30 years, the foundation has contributed about $4-million to 10 community projects.

They include withdrawl management services at Bluewater Health, artificial turf at Norm Perry Park, and construction of the downtown art gallery.
