Volunteers Needed For Tear Down

Sarnia's Celebration of Lights is looking for volunteers to help with the community tear down on Saturday. Board Committee Member Bill Suisham says the take down should be about four hours to complete with registration beginning at 9am in the Bayshore parking lot. He says volunteers are asked to contact the Celebration of Lights committee through their website or Facebook page. "The committee itself and several people that are regulars usually show up and that's usually about 15 people. Beyond that, however many people from the community actually show up usually depends on the weather," says Suisham.

"Students can have their student hours signed off for and stuff like that down there. For the tear down, we usually have hot chocolate and coffee to keep people warm." Suisham adds they hope to continue the Celebration of Lights in the future and are looking for donations to amp it up next year.
