The future of the city's oldest high school will be discussed Wednesday evening.
An Accommodation Review Committee, struck to overlook staff reports on consolidating SCITS at the St.Clair Secondary School site, meets for the first time.
The Lambton Kent District School Board estimates consolidation will save $1.1-million beginning in 2017.
St. Clair Secondary School would undergo $12.2-million in upgrades including improved HVAC and electrical systems as well as exterior rehabilitation and interior renewal.
An initial staff report is expected to be released at Wednesday's meeting and time has been scheduled for questions from the public.
Any decision on the actual closing of the school won't come until April, after the accommodation review is completed.
The ARC committee is comprised of students, staff and parents.
Wednesday's meeting is at St. Clair Secondary School at 6:30pm.
