Lambton College Athletics Launches New Site

Lambton College's athletics department has a brand new website for athletes, fans and prospective students.

The site, www.lclions.ca, was launched earlier this week and has information about varsity sports, campus recreation, history and more.

Lions Men's Basketball Coach James Grant says it's a great recruitment tool.

"The competitiveness of at least men's basketball has gone way up in the past number of years and you really need to go outside your traditional catchment areas if you want to be competitive in certain sports," says Grant.

"Having this website, I had six guys that we're kind of looking at to bring in. We've had some people say they'll join the team already."

Grant says the site also includes information on the college's planned new athletics complex.

He's hopeful it will draw more athletes to Lambton College.
