Petrolia is hoping to be named this year's Kraft Hockeyville.
The town is making a bid in conjunction with the Petrolia Minor Hockey Association.
Town spokesperson Laurissa Ellsworth says the winner will get $100,000 toward rink restoration and a chance to host a preseason NHL game.
"For us the $100,000 would be going to replace our rink boards and the hockey game would just be another awesome extra," says Ellsworth.
Nominations can be made until February 7 by visiting www.khv2016.ca.
Voting will follow, with the winner to be announced in April.
