Lambton County Council is requesting a report examining the structure of the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership Board of Directors. At Wednesday's meeting, Warwick Mayor Todd Case said it's good business to look at other models.

The biannual Warden's Election will now begin at 9am on a selected date, with a Judicial official to preside over the event. These changes from were approved by council Wednesday. Concerns were voiced of attracting a younger crowd who might not be able to attend due to work commitments . However, City-County Councillor Anne-Marie Gillis noted their services of streaming online help reach to that audience.

The County of Lambton continues to seek a roundtable meeting with the provincial Minister of Transportation to discuss an update on concerns regarding Hwy. 402 winter maintenance. It's suggested the meeting be held in Lambton County.

Additional hours at Marshall Gowland Manor have been approved for two full-time equivalents to the staff complement.

Staff will look into a potential partnership with local school boards and service providers for the development of a rural transit system that could use school buses. Petrolia Mayor John McCharles recommended staff use some of the work completed by Petrolia Councillor Liz Welsh who has previously looked into a similar system. Other vehicles may be considered since school buses have accessibility and timing issues.
