UPDATED: Freezing Rain Warning Ends But Storm Not Done

A slow moving moisture laden low pressure system will track just south of lakes Erie and Ontario Wednesday and into southeastern Quebec Thursday.

It is expected to bring significant amounts of rain, snow and ice pellets.

Sarnia-Lambton's freezing rain warning ended over the noon hour Wednesday, a special weather statement ended at about 3pm.

Precipitation in the Sarnia area had changed to mainly straight rain by noon.

Road surfaces, sidewalks and parking lots were still slippery, however, due to ice accumulation and caution was being advised when driving or walking.

Precipitation will change to snow late Wednesday night and Thursday as colder air gets pumped in from the north in the wake of the storm system.

Environment Canada estimates 2 cm to 4 cm accumulation for Sarnia-Lambton overnight and another 2 cm to 4 cm Thursday.
