You may need the luck of the Irish to get into Sarnia's only true Irish restaurant and bar on St. Patrick's Day.
Paddy Flaherty's on Seaway Rd. was expecting to reach full capacity of 200 people early afternoon.
Owner Scott Dargie says all Irish and pretend-to-be Irish people are welcome to come celebrate.
"It is the single busiest day of the year, it's non-stop until we close," he says.
The bar had been fully stocked with traditional St. Patrick's Day green beer and Guinness.
"We have a lot of Guinness giveaways, because Guinness is 'the Irish beer,' so lots of t-shirts and funny Guinness hats to give away," says Dargie, who was expecting the "more serious drinkers" to show up around 2pm. "We do go through a lot of Guinness."
Thursday's feature meal is corn beef and cabbage, although, the restaurant's regular shepherd's pie and Guinness steak and mushroom meals were expected to be popular as well.
