City council has granted Sarnia Greekfest the use of it's downtown Scotiabank parking lot for the next five summer festivals.
This year, it takes place August 5th-7th and a food truck will be available. It will be open to the public from noon to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and from noon to 9pm on Sunday.
Council relieved the 2016 rental fee of $1,750 for the parking lot.

Sarnia council approved a by-law amendment application Monday that cleans up the rules around signage. There are no financial implications.

Council received a report outlining an update for the Corporate Sponsorship and Advertising Policy and Program.
Councillor Cindy Scholten stressed that a Request for Proposal (RFP) period is now open. It provides opportunities for advertising on public transit, local buildings, sports fields and arenas. The RFP will be open until April 18th.

The City of Sarnia will enter a 'friendship' agreement with the Aamjiwnaang First Nation to officially sign a revised sewage and water plan.
Councillors Cindy Scholten, Brian White and Mayor Mike Bradley will make up an approved subcommittee. Councillor Anne-Marie Gillis was added to the group as well since she is a representative with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM).
