The Sarnia and District Humane Society is taking advantage of all social media platforms to help boost animal adoption rates.
Assistant Manager Alissa Scarpelli says photos and videos of various animals at the shelter are now broadcasted via their Snapchat account, "sarniahumane."
She says they've had much success with Facebook photo albums, and hopes Snapchat will too.
"If we get bunnies or guinea pigs, and cats, dogs, we'll post all of it," says Scarpelli. "The other thing behind that too, is any of our events, it allows us to kind of give a live stream and show people what's going on.
"Maybe they'll see and come out the day of events too."
The public can also follow the humane society on Twitter and sign up for email subscriptions to newsletters and events through their website.
