A 32-year-old Sarnia man is facing numerous charges after a bus stop at George St. and Vidal St. was tagged with graffiti Friday afternoon.
Police say they were called by a witness around 2pm, and a member of the COPPS Unit was able to locate the suspect in the vicinity.
The man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000.
He's also facing a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking after police allegedly found marijuana on him.
Anyone who witnesses any type of vandalism in the city is asked to call Sarnia police or Crime Stoppers.
Police say working together in this fashion will help to decrease the damage done. They also remind the public that a zero tolerance approach is being taken to this act of mischief, and offenders will be charged accordingly.
There have been numerous incidents in the area recently including the defacing of monuments at Germain Park and along the Point Edward waterfront.
