Jackson Pool and SSEC On The Agenda

Sarnia City Council considers the future of the 50-year-old Jackson Pool when it meets later today. (Mon)

Reporter Eric Taschner previews the agenda for the meeting that begins at 4pm.

Jackson Pool could be closed for the summer due to its condition. If council decides to close it, staff will have time to investigate possible repairs and the future of the pool.

Councillors Brian White and Matt Mitro will suggest that council no longer review any more proposals after Monday's meeting to the naming rights of the SSEC.

Mayor Mike Bradley is hoping council will pass a motion to expand George St. to help get the buses off the street for passenger pick-up.

Council will decide if they want to replace or close the curtain on a 38-year old driveable stage.

A Lambton College professor is challenging the mayor to take part in the 'Mayor's Poetry City Challenge'.
