Suspicious Death Now Homicide

Sarnia police now say the death of a man found in a residence on Kathleen Ave. early Tuesday is a homicide.

A post mortem was conducted in London Wednesday but Constable Nelson Amaral says the cause of death of 28-year-old Raymond Thomas White is not being released at this time.

"We're unable to release that information at this time only because doing so would jeopardize the integrity of the investigation," says Amaral.

White was found in a unit in a single storey row house in the 400-block of Kathleen Ave. around 2:30am Tuesday.

Constable Amaral says he was pronounced dead at hospital.

This is the city's second homicide of the year.

In the early morning hours of Good Friday March 25, police discovered the body of 26-year-old Jonathan Patrick Pike of Sarnia in a wooded area west of Tashmoo Ave.

That investigation is also ongoing and Amaral says there is no evidence or information to suggest the two homicides are related.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigations Division or Crime Stoppers.
