A Plympton-Wyoming man faces numerous charges in connection with a multi-vehicle crash on Hwy. 402 Sunday that saw a driver try to flee from police on foot.
Lambton OPP say at about 5pm May 15, police, EMS and Sarnia firefighters responded to a serious three vehicle collision on the eastbound 402 near Waterworks Rd.
Police say an eastbound vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed hit the rear of another eastbound vehicle, causing the second vehicle to run off the highway, rollover and come to rest on its roof in a water-filled ditch.
The lone occupant of that vehicle was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the suspect vehicle then collided with a third eastbound vehicle resulting in minor damage and no injuries.
A man allegedly fled the scene on foot before police arrived but was found and arrested a short time later in a field not far away.
56-year-old Brian Davis faces several charges including impaired driving causing bodily harm, failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving bodily harm, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm and driving with no licence and no plate validation.
Davis is to appear in Sarnia court June 6.
