There was a noticeable police presence along a section of Exmouth St. in Sarnia Thursday morning.
City police received a call at 9:30am about a wanted person in the area, near Trillium Park.
Constable John Sottosanti says police were trying to hold a perimeter so the suspect could not escape.
"After a police search, the male party was finally located hiding in a bush in that area. He was arrested at 11:20am," he says.
The unnamed man faces charges including assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a dangerous weapon, unauthorized possession of a weapon and breach of probation and firearm prohibition orders.
He was being held for a bail hearing.
