This long holiday weekend sees the arrival of Sarnia Police bike patrols. Constable Nelson Amaral says seven officers will focus on parks, trails and beaches that can be difficult to patrol in a cruiser. "We're seeing a lot of mischief, vandalism, littering, drug use," he says. "We're trying to make people feel comfortable and safe in wooded areas and along trails." He also says bikes offer the element of surprise for people involved in illegal activities
