Kids Funfest Returns For a 21st Year

The 21st annual Kids Funfest is on from 10am-3pm at Clearwater Arena Saturday.

City of Sarnia Recreation Coordinator Rachel Veilleux says other than food and drinks, everything at the event is free to the public.

She says with over 80 local groups taking part, there's plenty for the kids to enjoy.

"We have all kinds of activities for the kids, we have our inflatables, face painting, train and pony rides," says Veilleux. "The best part about Kids Funfest is the vendors, they're pretty much all local groups that come out. They have activities and games, whether its life size board games or story telling, no matter where you turn there is something to do."

Veilleux says they expect anywhere between 5,000 and 10,000 people at the event.

"All kinds of families out, children, grandparents, parents to be. I can't believe its been 21 years already but it always seems to keep growing."

She says if there is rain, they'll move the event inside to Clearwater Arena, but are hoping they can keep the event outdoors.

Sarnia Transit is again offering a free shuttle from the downtown Vidal St terminal.
