The County of Lambton is doing its part to help residents better prepare for emergencies at home.
www.emergencieslambton.ca, launched in May, contains information on what to do in case of flooding, chemical valley and public health emergencies, and severe weather.
Emergency Management Coordinator Mark Wetering says it's a good way to streamline information.
The site also features info on past emergencies including the 1902 Wanstead train wreck, 1913 Great Lakes white hurricane, 1953 Sarnia and 1983 Reece's Corners tornadoes and the 2010 snowsquall emergency.
The county has also established a 20 member digital volunteer team that will post emergencies on social media outside of regular work hours.
