The Sarnia Sting continue to build their roster for the upcoming OHL season with the signing of 2015 import pick Louis Latta.
Latta is the brother of former Sting captain Nick Latta, and won't count toward the Sting's import quota because he's a dual citizen.
“As an organization, we’re very excited to officially welcome Louis to the Sting family," says Sting GM Nick Sinclair. "Louis possesses a combination of skill, size and competitiveness, and we feel that playing in the OHL will only help further his development as a player.”
The 17-year-old Latta racked up 30 points (16 G, 14 A) in 42 games with Kölner EC U19 of the DNL last season.
The year prior, during his draft-year, Latta recorded 42 points, including 26 goals and 16 assists in 31 games played.
