The building pace in Sarnia slowed in June. Figures from city hall show 50 permits worth a total of $3.6-million were issued last month compared to over $7-million in June of 2015. The year-to-date total through the first six months of 2016, however, is still $8-million better than last year at $35.8-million. The largest permit issued in June was for $1.4-million for a 5,000 sq ft office expansion at Kelgor Ltd. on Plank Rd. Only four permits for single family homes were issued in June bringing the yearly total to 67, up from 59 last year.
