There's another attempt to set up a second off leash dog park in Sarnia.
Acting Parks and Recreation Director Ryan Chamney says it would be located in Germain Park.
"The proposed site plan can be seen on the City's website," he says. "It would be located in green space near the old Germain Arena in between the parking lot and the set of washrooms beside the lawn bowling club."
A public consultation session will be held at the Strangway Community Centre from 5pm-6:30pm Thursday, September 8.
Chamney says staff will prepare a report for council, and if approved, the off leash park would be open for a year as a pilot project.
Clean up and maintenance of the park would be the responsibility of the Parks and Recreation Department with the support of the Sarnia off leash dog committee.
