Sting Trim Roster Ahead Of Exhibition Schedule

The Sarnia Sting made their first round of cuts following Tuesday's annual Black and White game.

The roster has been trimmed from 42 players to 24 ahead of the team's exhibition schedule, that begins Friday in London.

Aidan Hughes, Derrick Johnson, Brock Perry and Jacob Stos are still with the Sting, all four played for the Sarnia Legionnaires last season. Franco Sproviero spent last season with the Lambton Shores Predators. Although the Sarnia native is traditionally a defenceman, he's been playing forward at camp, something he has done in the past during his stints with the Sting.

No 2000-born players remain on the roster.
