Three people were injured in a serious crash on Confederation Line in east Sarnia Sunday, including a woman who was airlifted to London hospital.
The Sarnia Police Service traffic branch says just before 10am, a vehicle left the road near the 2800-block of Confederation Line, and collided with a tree, injuring all three occupants who are in their mid-20s.
The male driver and a female passenger were transported to Bluewater Health by EMS with what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries. The other female passenger was airlifted to London’s Victoria Hospital with major injuries.
Confederation, between Waterworks Rd. and Mandaumin Rd., was expected to remain closed until the evening hours and motorists were asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Constable Mark Berger of the Sarnia Police Service traffic branch at 519-344-8861, ext. 6156.
