Sales and service positions and truck drivers had the highest number of job openings in Sarnia-Lambton in the first quarter of this year.
Sarnia Lambton Workforce Development Board Executive Director Shauna Carr says there's also a growing need for people in the health care sector.
"PSWs, technicians, cleaners and cooks are needed," she says. "These positions are open in both the public and private sector."
Sarnia-Lambton's jobless rate from January to March 2016 was 10.3%, higher than the regional and provincial average.
