United Way Campaign Nearing The Half Way Point

Its just two weeks into the Sarnia-Lambton 2016 United Way campaign, and already its almost half way there.

Executive Director Dave Brown says they have raised $850,000 or 44% of the $2-million goal.

He says they're hopeful they will hit the 50% mark very soon.

"Certainly that $2-million is a huge number and it is a little intimidating when you think about it," says Brown.

"When you boil it down to each donation is important and each donor is important and basically our strategy is if you gave last year please give again, then its a little bit more manageable."

The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton funds 20 agencies providing 37 programs and services to the community.
