Bluewater Power is investigating after a car travelling on Colborne Rd. Tuesday afternoon was struck by a falling hydro pole.
Bruce Cameron says he and his wife were transported by EMS to Bluewater Health for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle's roof was dented and the front windshield shattered.
Cameron says the car is "more or less" a write-off.
Bluewater Power CEO Janice McMichael-Dennis says they're trying to determine if the pole was compromised.
"We have indeed confirmed it was a Bluewater Power pole and the pole certainly did tip forward and strike the roof of this vehicle," says McMichael-Dennis. "It's something you don't see very often, as a matter of fact, we've been around 100 years and this is a once in a century thing for us. We take it very seriously and we're following through to see exactly what happened there."
Cameron says he was told by witnesses that the pole was rotted at the core but that has not been confirmed.
