United Way Campaign Reaches Half Way Mark

This years United Way campaign has hit the 50% mark.

Executive Director Dave Brown says four weeks into the campaign they have raised $1-million.

"We're very excited at this point to be less than a month into the campaign to have hit the 50% mark," says Brown.

"There's something very psychological about hitting that first $1-million and now that we're there, we're hoping that the momentum is going to carry us."

The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton funds 20 agencies providing 37 programs and services to the community.

The next major public fundraising event is the Locally Lambton Dinner October 29th. Tickets are $45 each or two for $85.

They're available through the Sarnia-Lambton United Way office.
