Axe Throwing Tournament To Benefit Inn Of The Good Shepherd

There's a new recreational activity in Sarnia that's taken the community by storm.

Valley Axe on the Golden Mile offers competitive axe throwing and 40 people are already involved in league play.

Co-owner Bo Tait says it's also the first axe-throwing facility in the province that sells alcohol.

"Imagine a bowling alley, but instead of balls and pins, you have axes and a target to throw at," says Tait.

"In the beginning, when people first come in, they're interested but skeptical. We have extensive safety measures in place and coaching and the staff we have is really top notch."

Valley Axe is looking for teams for a tournament on October 15. It costs $200 per team of five and all proceeds go to the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

Contact Valley Axe or the Inn to register.
