Great Lakes Secondary School has named its new official mascot.
Students will become the "Wolfpack."
Co-Chair of the Identity Sub-Committee and teacher April Brander says the name was selected from over 2,000 submissions.
"All of the ideas were submitted anonymously. I can tell you that there were several derivations of wolves that were submitted and 'Wolfpack' was submitted several times among those," she says.
Brander says the committee also approved light blue, black and silver as the new school colours.
She says an artist will now design the school logo and crest which they hope will be unveiled before the Christmas holidays.
