Have A Safe Halloween

Monday is Halloween, and Sarnia police want it to be a safe one for everyone.

Constable Nelson Amaral says motorists are reminded to use extra caution and slow down.

"We're asking you to be extra vigilant Monday night," says Amaral.

"As much as we tell kids not to zig-zag across the street and to walk not run, expect this to happen, at night when visibility isn't the greatest and please slow down."

Police also remind parents to ensure their children's costumes are light weight, reflective and weather appropriate.

Amaral says they also have a limited amount of reflective wristbands available at Sarnia Police Headquarters for trick-or-treaters.

A full list of helpful tips are posted on the Sarnia Police Service website.
