The deadline is rapidly approaching for 2017 intake applications for the Lambton Creative County Fund.
Warden Bev MacDougall says $75,000 is available for partner projects, events, activities or workshops that will enhance cultural vitality in Lambton County.
"We will fund up to 50% of project costs for eligible festivals, events, projects that are brought our way," says MacDougall. "Some areas have been more heavily subscribed than others. In Lambton Shores, we've been able to distribute all funds available every year. There seems to be an active arts community connected to Grand Bend, Forest, there just seems to be a lot of tourism and culture based activities going on in north Lambton. We've worked hard to help with historical plaque projects in south Lambton and we hope that the success down there will encourage others to come forward with ideas that will build on that."

The deadline to submit funding applications is November 17 at 4pm.
Since its inception in 2013, the Creative County Fund has advanced $277,355 to cultural projects in Lambton County.
