Lambton Public Health is reminding residents to protect themselves from the flu this holiday season.
Supervisor Erin Courtney says there are four confirmed cases of influenza in Sarnia-Lambton.
"Typically after the holiday season, numbers shoot right up and that's because people are gathering together and they're sharing joy and germs," says Courtney.
There were 79 confirmed cases of the flu in Sarnia-Lambton last season and one flu related death.
Infants, seniors and individuals with a chronic health condition are considered to be at most risk from the flu.
Courtney says the flu shot is still available at 29 area pharmacies and through your health care provider.
