Suspension Notices Arriving In The Mail This Week

The clock is ticking for hundreds of local elementary and high school students.

Lambton Public Health is mailing out 1,700 suspension notices this week.

Supervisor Erin Courtney says parents have until February 17 to update the records with Lambton Public Health.

"If you receive one of these letters it means that Lambton Public Health needs to be updated with your child's immunization record, also known as the yellow card, or we need proof of exemption," says Courtney. "It could also mean that your child is in need of one or more of the required vaccines in order for them to attend school."

Courtney says if the records are not updated, students will be suspended as of February 21.

Parents can update the records online at www.lambtonhealth.on.ca, by phone or in person at the Point Edward office.
