Corporate donations continue to pour into the expanding Lambton College.
The most recent came Friday from Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life and is earmarked for the college's new 40,000 sq ft Athletics and Fitness Complex.
Freedom 55 Financial's Regional Director Pete Aarssen made the announcement on behalf of the donors.
"All of us in Sarnia and Chatham at Freedom 55 Financial are pleased to share a part in helping contribute toward this great goal of yours, so we're pleased to announce this morning that we were able to find $75,000," says Aarssen.
College President and CEO Judith Morris says the money will be used for a media and broadcasting booth in the new facility.
"We've never been able to do live broadcasting before," says Morris. "The definition in sound and video play will be much higher than we've ever been capable. It's going to really ramp up our ability to broadcast and showcase our varsity sports."
Morris says new media capabilities will help attract larger competitions and other events.
She says they're still looking for a corporate sponsor to contribute $1-million for naming rights for the complex, which will include a double gymnasium and multi-purpose fitness and studio space.
NOVA Chemicals donated $2-million to put its name on the new health & research centre.
Construction of the two new world-class facilities on campus is underway.
