Man Arrested After Vehicle Hits Wall

Non-life threatening injuries are reported after a vehicle slammed into a wall of a downtown business early Saturday morning.

Sarnia police say around 1:40am, a pick-up truck hit a Davis St. business after trying to make a very sharp left hand turn from Christina St. at a high rate of speed.

Officers located the driver of the vehicle with the help of witnesses in the area and he was arrested.

The 51-year-old Sarnia man was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries to his forehead.

The man is charged with refusing to provide a breath sample and being impaired by alcohol. He was also issued a ticket for failing to wear a seatbelt.

He was released on a promise to appear.
