The recently repaired roof at Sarnia's Via Rail station was damaged by Wednesday's high winds.
Shingles were blown off the new roof at the Green St. station.
A wind gust of 83 km/h was recorded Wednesday at Sarnia's Chris Hadfield Airport.
VIA Rail spokesperson Mariam Diaby says they're still assessing the damage.
"We're currently proceeding to do an inspection of the stations in the area to identify damage caused by the strong winds," says Diaby. "Once the assessment is completed we will make the necessary repairs."
It's unclear when repairs will be made.
Improvements, including roof repairs, upgraded washrooms, repairs to masonry and doors as well as the relocation of wayside power panels were just completed last month.
