Local talent will be showcased Thursday night in the first ever "Sarnia Sings."
The fundraising concert at the Imperial Theatre will feature about 20 local singers accompanied by a live band from Toronto.
Organizer Adam Dumond says the funds will be distributed by the Sarnia Community Foundation to area mental health and suicide prevention services.
He says the event will also feature some special guest speakers.
"A lot of these people who do suffer they go into themselves and don't really want to talk about it, which is very difficult thing to to ask them to do, so in saying that there will be moments live on stage where we have people who have suffered loss or suffered themselves and have now come out of it and are doing great things with their life," says Dumond.
The live show gets underway at 7:30pm Thursday.
Tickets are $25 each and are available at the Imperial Theatre box office.
