Tuesday is the deadline to apply for a host kit for a neighbourhood meet and greet.
Community Round Table Chair Alison Mahon says they're encouraging you to get to know your neighbours a little better on June 17 and 18.
"Just submit your name, your neighbourhood and how many people you're expecting." says Mahon. "You organize with your neighbours. Maybe a barbecue, a block party, a clean up or just a get together. Then we'll supply a host kit to a few lucky neighbourhoods, consisting of burgers and hot dogs and drinks."
This year, neighbourhoods are encouraged to make a flag representing what is unique about their area and then display it on July 1 at the Canada Day Parade. Material for a flag is available at the Community Round Table's Facebook page.
The Community Round Table is made up of citizen representatives and was established to advance strategic initiatives identified by the public.
