50 Years Of Helping Those With Special Needs

Over 400 developmentally challenged individuals from Lambton, Middlesex and Huron counties will gather at the Legacy Centre in Thedford Wednesday.

The Algarva #169 Caravan, a division of the International Order of Alhambra, is hosting its annual Fun Day according to Grand Commander Louis Hendrikx.

"These people have a great time," says Hendrikx. "They look forward to it every year. We do a hayride for them in March but the Fun Day is our biggest day. We have games, a pizza lunch, music and a dance at the arena, with a dinner wrapping things up."

The non-profit, Catholic charity, not only hosts events for those with challenges, but provides funding to assist those individuals and their families.
