Gala Supports College Construction (GALLERY)

The Lambton College President's Gala raised $67,500 for the Envision Tomorrow Capital Campaign.

Comedian Rick Mercer was the keynote speaker at the sold out event in May, in which 280 guests gathered to celebrate the colleges 50th anniversary.

Lambton College Foundation and Alumni Association Director Marc Guilbeault says they are grateful for the community support and the generosity at the event made the President's Gala the most successful single fundraising event in Lambton College history.

The capital campaign was launched by the foundation two years ago to support the college's multi-million dollar campus renewal project.

Construction of the two new world-class facilities on campus is underway.

Nova Chemicals donated $2-million toward the Nova Chemicals Health & Research Centre, while naming rights for a new 40,000 sq ft Athletics and Fitness Complex are still up for grabs.

A major renovation of existing facilities is also in the works of the most southerly block of the campus.
