Sarnia's new summer bus schedule will be reconsidered at city council's regular meeting July 31.
Buses on Route 9 are running every 30 minutes instead of 15 and the hourly bus to Heritage Park is by request only during July and August.
A couple of Sarnia Transit users are collecting names on a petition to lobby council to rethink the seasonal cutbacks.

Sarnia Council is waiving fees for the 11th annual Greekfest, a savings of about $3,000.
A noise bylaw exemption has also been granted for the event August 4 - 6 along Christina St. from Davis to Cromwell Streets and in the city's Parkway parking lot.
The fees will be paid from the city's Major Event Assistance Fund which carries an annual budget of $20,000.

Sarnia's Environmental Advisory and Urban Wildlife Committees have amalgamated.
City council has endorsed a single Environmental Advisory Committee that will take effect October 3.
Members of the current committees, nearly a dozen in all, will be appointed to the new committee until the end of the council term.

The 80km/h speed limit on Blackwell Sideroad between Confederation Line and 1525m south of London Line will be maintained.
Sarnia council decided to receive and file a request from residents in the area to lower the speed limit to 60 km/h in that section.

City staff will explore the financial implications of installing a midblock pedestrian signal on Exmouth St. at the Howard Watson Nature Trail crossing.
The crossover would also include a combination of pavement markings and signs, providing pedestrians with a protected crossing opportunity.
If council decides to move forward with an improved crossing, staff are recommending a signal be installed due to high traffic volumes in the area.
