Youth soccer teams from across Ontario are in Sarnia this weekend for Sarnia FC's 7th annual Waters Edge Classic. Nearly 100 clubs are taking part, with divisions ranging from Under-9 to Under-16. Tournament Director Dean Troiani says they've come a long way since the first event. "We've built this thing from 2011, which was our inaugural, and we had six teams participate in the old days," says Troiani. "We've ballooned it to 95 teams this year. So, it's a really good event. Unfortunately, we had to turn away some teams because we're completely booked. There's not a hotel room to be found, so it's really exciting for us." Local teams will kick off the tournament on Friday evening at Norm Perry Park. Games will be at Norm Perry, Germain Park, East St. field, Lambton College, Blackwell Park, and Northern high school through Sunday.
