Sarnia police are asking for the public's help in locating two suspects who robbed Northgate Pharmacy on Exmouth St. Monday night.
Constable Nelson Amaral says two young adult males disguised with balaclavas threatened staff with an edged weapon and made off with a significant amount of cash and opioid painkillers including fentanyl, hydromorphone and other pills.
He says the investigation is ongoing.
"Our detectives are looking at every angle of this case, including video surveillance ," says Amaral. "But, we are also appealing to the public for anyone who may have been in the area of Northgate Plaza [Monday] evening, at approximately 7pm, that may have witnessed anything unusual or out of place, to call us. Even if you think it may be insignificant, it may be something significant to our investigators."
One suspect fled on a bicycle while the other, wearing a red Honda motorcycle jacket, sped off on a small street bike-style motorcycle.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Detective Constable Kent Jamieson at 519-344-8861 ext 6221 or Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
